Bold West African flavors, craft cocktails, and weekend brunch — right on S Dairy Ashford Rd in the heart of Houston's Energy Corridor.
The Energy Corridor has steakhouses, sushi, and Tex-Mex on every corner — what it didn't have was a true African restaurant and lounge. The Afro Eatery Lounge fills that gap with charcoal-grilled suya, smoky jollof rice, African soups with fufu, and an Afro-Southern weekend brunch, all served in a moody navy-and-gold room built for date nights, birthdays, and after-work wind-downs.
By day it's lunch meetings and family dinners; by night the DJs come on, the cocktail list opens up, service (21+) runs until midnight on weekdays and 2 AM on weekends. One address, two energies.
We're minutes from the Energy Corridor's office towers, CityCentre, and Westheimer — close enough for a lunch escape, central enough to be the group-chat pick for Friday night.
