1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation, place an order, or submit information through this site. Guests must be 21 or older with valid government-issued ID to purchase or consume alcohol.
2. Use of the Website
You may use this site for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

Prices exclude tax, gratuity, and applicable service charges. A service charge may be automatically added to larger parties, VIP packages, and private events; that charge is disclosed at booking or on your check.
4. Food Allergies & Dietary Needs
Our kitchen prepares dishes containing peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, fish, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, and other allergens in a shared space. We cannot guarantee that any dish is free from a specific allergen or from cross-contact. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, tell your server before ordering. You assume the risk associated with dining with us, and you are responsible for informing us of your needs.
5. Reservations & Deposits
- Reservations are confirmed only when you receive confirmation from us by email, text, or phone.
- We hold tables for a limited grace period after the reserved time. Late arrivals may forfeit the table or be reseated as availability allows.
- Reservations for large parties, VIP tables, bottle service, and holidays or special events may require a deposit, credit card on file, or minimum spend, disclosed at the time of booking.
- Deposits are applied to your final bill unless stated otherwise. Cancellation and no-show terms — including any non-refundable deposit or fee — are disclosed when you book, and you agree to them by booking.
- We reserve the right to cancel or modify a reservation due to capacity, closure, weather, staffing, or other circumstances beyond our control. In that case we will contact you and refund any deposit paid.
6. Private Events & Packages
Private events, buyouts, birthday packages, and VIP packages are governed by these Terms together with the specific quote, invoice, or event agreement you receive. Where those documents conflict with these Terms, the event agreement controls. Final guest counts, menu selections, deposits, and balance due dates are set out in that agreement. Damage to the venue or equipment caused by you or your guests may be charged to the card on file.
7. Online Ordering & Delivery
Online ordering and delivery are provided by third parties, including Clover, DoorDash, and Uber Eats. When you click through to those services, their terms, pricing, fees, and refund policies apply — not ours. We are not responsible for delivery times, driver conduct, third-party service fees, or order errors introduced by those platforms. Please contact the platform directly for delivery issues. For pickup orders placed with us, contact the restaurant.
8. Gift Cards & Promotions
Gift cards are redeemable for food and beverage at our Houston location, are not redeemable for cash except where required by law, and are not replaceable if lost or stolen. Promotions, discounts, and happy-hour offers are limited-time, may not be combined unless stated, are subject to blackout dates, and may be modified or withdrawn at any time. 9. House Rules & Venue Policies
- We reserve the right to refuse service and to remove any guest for disruptive, unsafe, intoxicated, threatening, or disrespectful behavior.
- Dress code, cover charges, minimum spend, and age restrictions may apply on select nights and are posted or communicated in advance where practical.
- Outside food, beverages, or cakes are not permitted unless arranged with management in advance; a service fee may apply.
- We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property on the premises, including items left in the parking area.
- The venue is monitored by security cameras, and we photograph and record video for marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
10. Alcohol (21+)
Alcohol service is available only to guests 21 and older with valid government-issued photo ID. We serve responsibly and in accordance with Texas law, including the rules of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, and we will refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated or cannot produce valid ID. Never drink and drive — ask our staff and we will help arrange a ride.
11. Your Content & Reviews
If you post about us, tag us, or send us photos, videos, reviews, or other content, you grant The Afro Eatery Lounge a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content in our marketing and on our social channels, with attribution to your handle where practical. You confirm that you own or have the rights to the content you submit. We may remove or decline to use any submission.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including the "Afro Eatery" and "The Afro Eatery Lounge" names and logos, menu descriptions, photography, video, text, graphics, and page design — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by U.S. copyright and trademark law.
